Good news Ed! Just got my main in from Sails-online.com last week and tried it out. This thing (a tri-radial laminate main with taffatas) looks great, fits perfect and tunes nicely. Definitely recommend this loft for those who need a sail quickly but on a budget!

Highlights --
Lead time - 14 days as promised -- local lofts in DAGO were saying >10 weeks
Response - Roger personally responds via e-mail (usually within 30 mins), I received only responses from 2 local lofts. I'm still waiting for N.... to send quote!
Delivery - FedEx overnight -- got here in no time flat from NZ
Quality - the sail looks built to take on the Southern Ocean, likely outlast my boat....
Value - they beat / matched everyone (local & off shore) else's quote
No flames from the made in USA clan -- I needed to get a sail in time for the Beer Can races after shredding the old one.

Thank you so much for the great sail for my old Cascade. I finally got it all set and took it out today and it was just wonderful, I got it up when the wind was light but it rapidly built to about 20mph and the sail really solved my downwind stability problems and with the ATN sock made it  so simple to get flying and recover. Can get almost 180 degrees of use and even seemed to be fine on a dead run with the tack eased quite a bit.

Found a few issues I need to address but gives me something to do. Have been reading about methods to secure the tack, presently using a line passing through a block on a short pendant secured to the bow with a line lead to the cockpit but allows the tack to leave the centerline of the boat when eased. I have a furler and was reading about Parrel beads and tackers and other ways to secure it to the furled sail and keep it on centerline and allowing it to ride up when eased so will try something like that. Also wondering what the teltales should be doing when the sail was adjusted properly. Tried to get them horizontal is that right?

Thanks again for the prompt service and a very beautiful sail.

Hi Scott

Good on yer pimpin'. I have just received a really nice headsail from Roger at Sails-Online, ordered via the Sailing Anarchy link. He is indeed doing a great job and I look forward to ordering from him in
the future.

Best wishes

Hi Roger

Just a quick note to say that we are very happy with our new number 1 for
Rising Damp. We got second in the nationals at the weekend and the jib was
perfect as on the first day we had 15-20 kts and on the second day we had no
breeze! The jib was fast in both coditions and really made the difference on
the saturday. I think Craig was pretty happy with his number 2 as he was
only one point behind us in third at the end of the first day after using
his number 2 all day!

Thanks Again

Hi Roger, some feedback from last night's Pine Harbour race…

SW 8-14kts of breeze, so we used the new no.1. We have gone from consistently around 4th to 6th on Handicap to 2nd on line last night (4 seconds behind a Farr 9.2) and we got a 1st on handicap. I think it's safe to say that the sail is making a big improvement. Noticed an improvement in speed and response times, but mainly a big improvement in height, we were able to climb over the top of all boats and were ahead of some bigger boats at the first top mark.

Flick me a couple of t-shirts and I'll make sure they're worn on the boat if you like…

Cheers,

Gavin.

Hi Roger

A quick note of thanks for the prompt, professional service that you provided in producing our new sail. Out Lotus 9.2 desperately needed a new roller furler, and we thought that there was little chance of getting one ordered and made before Xmas. To our surprise and pleasure, Roger Hall responded to our email request for a quote, and had the sail measured and made within 2 weeks. Excellent service. Roger took the time to listen to our requirements, came to the boat to take measurements for the sail, and fitted it when it was made. His online service is surprisingly user friendly and un-intimidating.

Once again, many thanks.

Hi Roger

Well we had a good opportunity over the weekend to try out the sails. They are just great !!

Friday night we had 2 reefs in (25-30 knt gusts) and tight reached across to Kawau. No worries except the leeward lower comming loose with the mast pumping back a little, so I eased up and fitted a temporary inner forestay off the spreaders on Saturday. I can use it when required and this should see me through to next year when I'll remove the rig for the expected mods - Staysail etc.

Today we came home on the wind with one reef (20-25knt) and found that the tacking angle is now 90 degrees down from a 100 !!. good speed too ! high 7 to mid 8's. The jib just looked great the whole time.

Thanks for everything.

Mike
P.S I guess there will be room around the stacker to tie in the third reef around the boom when needed. I only run the 2 reef lines and a mouse for the third which is used to run the No 1 reef line to the third point once I'm down to two.? hope this makes sence.

Roger, just a short note to let you know that the Spinnaker Snuffer that you made me arrived right on time and works like a treat.

We used it on the weekend it arrived in our clubs Spinnaker race, and the crew had no problems at all in figuring it out how to use it and the foredeck crew believes that it is a huge step forward in making there lives easier. We ended up taking line honours in our division in this race and I do think that the speed of the spinnaker handling helped us to get this result.

Again, many thanks for your help and great service!

Hi Roger,

Tried the new furling gennaker, now called "big red", in 8-10 knots.

We are really happy with it- sets beautifully and a dream to handle.

Points up to about 40 deg apparent.

Thanks very much for all your help and advice, I'm sure this will be a much used

sail on our cruises.

Will let you know when we are due for a headsail - probably mid 2004.

Cheers,
